This is a great summer contemporary read. It is about two families that vacation together and think of each other as family. The main character has always been the "little sister" until this summer when the others realize that she is growing up.
This was recently made into a motion picture and I enjoyed the picture quite a bit. I have a hard time with contemporary books, but this one was a breath of fresh air. It had a ton of deep points and great character development. I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
