This book is coming to a theatre and so I thought I should pick it up. I am a sucker for young adult literature. There are pros and cons to this book. I like how original it felt. I haven't read anything like it. The beginning of the story the audience is searching for answers like the main...

My local library has quite the hold list on the rest of the series. I will be waiting to see where this series is headed. So far I do like it, but it is violent.

Would you say that it's more violent than The Hunger Games?

Maggie Hsu Nov 14, 2014

It's been awhile since I have read Hunger Games so they aren't that fresh in my head. That being said, it felt that this book was more violent to start out with whereas Hunger Games kinda built to a huge violent ending. So I need to see where this series takes me. It is only the first book. Another hard...

So whole gang, old and new, are pretty much on a massive quest. Both Roman and Greeks together and how they mix have been fun to read. I know this series is taking the next step into young adult, away from youth literature. That said, there is a lot of romance happening. It's innocent teen stuff,...

We get to follow the original beloved character Percy Jackson around for this book. He has some new friends aiding him. There is also an introduction to Roman mythology. It is fun seeing how the two mythologies are similar, yet different. I don't know much about Roman mythology so this series is...

I started this series when I knew the last book was available to print. I hate waiting for a book to be released. Anyways, this book set a good tone to the series by introducing the new characters and following them throughout their journey and subsequent quest. Some original characters appeared...
